The property at 107 Queen Street
was purchased by trustees: Fred Sanders, John Blakely, Sammy Freeman,
and Clarence Johnson. Reverend J.B. Bailey was the first Pastor with
Reverend Clifton Harris serving as his assistant. Pastor Bailey
would minister on 1st and 3rd Sundays, and Reverend Clifton Harris and
Reverend R.L. Satterwhite would minister on alternate Sundays in the
absence of Pastor Bailey. Many members can reflect on the History of
Queen Street Baptist Church. Most of our members can add more to the
story. So now that your curiosity is aroused, get involved and learn
